Come on all you TEXAS BLOGGING GALS....and Gents too....help me name the Texas town to be used in my screenplay for fun and prizes!
FIRST - TELL me about YOUR town! Leave a comment NOMINATING your Texas town (or a Texas town you love) & tell me why YOUR town would be the best place for this movie to be set!
SECOND - SEND me a jpeg or two if you got 'em! (playwrightchick [@] gmail [dot] com) This isn't required, but would be helpful - would love to have a pic of your downtown area & one of an interesting house. If you can't send a jpeg (photo) then send me an address or two and I'll Google Earth them to have a look around your town.
THIRD - YOU are allowed to nominate ONLY ONE Texas town.
*I'm particularly interested in towns under 100,000 - in fact, a town of 10,000 would be great, but whatever the population, it has to have a look and feel of a small Texas town!
FABULOUS PRIZES!!!
A Cameo in the Movie
(this of course, is pending actually being lucky enough to get
it made and YES I am just that brazen to dream that big!
This IS Texas, afterall, where everything's bigger -
even DREAMS!)
even DREAMS!)
SO - LEAVE THOSE COMMENTS TO NOMINATE YOUR TEXAS TOWN - OR A TEXAS TOWN! You have ONE WEEK to nominate! Nominations close next
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12th at midnight!
I will announce the WINNER next
I will announce the WINNER next
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 14th (Valentines Day)
in the afternoon by 5pm!
SO GET BUSY!

SO GET BUSY!
NOTE: Winning the contest does not guarantee that if the movie gets made, it will actually get to be shot in your winning town - only that the movie will be 'set' in your town. A location scout may choose a different place to shoot. Example: Groundhog Day takes place in Puxataney, PA...however the movie was actually shot in Woodstock, Il. HOWEVER, if the movie does get made - you, personally, are guaranteed a cameo in it!
ALSO: Friends & Family are eligible for this contest - BUT, your entry will be treated like everyone elses!!!
GOOD luck TEXAS BLOGGERS! AND.....GOOOOOOOOoooooooooo........

Hi! In answer to your question - I got the iron wall hanging at Pottery Barn about 4 years ago. It's pretty but a real pain to keep dusted. :)
What a fun giveaway!
HOOT'N HOLLER, Texas.
Not my 1st choice - that was Sweet Home, Texas (Lavaca county), but N. reminded me there is a movie called Sweet Home, Alabama..(what do I know about such things??not much). Contest great idea! Good Luck!

Roxanne,
I have enjoyed reading this blog! Have a friend who used to sing on Broadway, and you write like she sounded. Full of life and fun! Wish you well on your project. I will get pictures of my town for nomination this week. That would be fun! Thanks for stopping in attractedtoshinyobjects and saying hello.
Hey thanks for your comment on my blog! It makes me so happy to have a new follower! I'm so happy that I'm following your blog too! I'm trying to learn more about you and what you do...
So if I understand this post correctly then I need to nominate a town near me. I live in San Antonio but very close to Helotes and I would nominate that town. The only pictures I have are some I did for my pregnancy. It's a pretty small town but very nice people live there.
How about Comfort, Texas?
Hi there!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. I don't have a particular town in mind - any Texas town is fine with me! I can't wait to hear more about your project.
Hugs,
Renee
Well I'm awfully proud of New Braunfels, TX. Population of 36,000with lots to do especially in the summer, but really year round. There's a very strong history and culture with the German founding and influence. A great close-knit feeling even as the town expands. A lovely centralized downtown square/circle. Beautiful river scenes and settings. It would be a great choice for a screen play!
Hi, so nice to meet you. I’m Yoli, a fellow “Texas Blogging Gal”. I made it my goal to visit each member’s Blog. I don’t want to just “drive-thru” to meet a quota, but instead to share the gift of friendship that God gives us all. I’m excited to read your inspirational stories and see your creative works. You are always welcomed at my Apron Senorita Blog.
Your blog has to be one of the most exciting that I have read in a long time. My mind wonders with images of western flicks or a car-chase through the hills of Austin, TX. Keep up the good work!!
God Bless You!
Yoli
