I also fell in love with that clickety clack. My grandma had an old manual - very early model. The keys stuck together if you typed too fast, or pressed a bunch at once.

I LOVE it!! As you say (and I discovered, too) the electrics are still being made. But it indeed feels like the end of an era. I loved your memories of typing on Nanu's typewriter -- carbon paper was an especial treat I remember that too! -- what a lovely memory! So glad you sent me in the direction of your post! What shall we write about next? :)
